  3. What’s the future for video marketing? More personalised content aimed directly at the end user. If you’ve seen Minority report, there is a scene when different adverts pop up in front of different people.
  4. One interesting fact we should know about you.  My dream job when I was growing up was to become a pilot
  5. Which of the Ark values best aligns with you? Impact as I believe there is no point in making video if it doesn’t create an impact (commercial or emotional).

  1. Favourite Film?  The team are so going to slate me for this…..either Pretty Woman or Top Gun (sorry folks Star Wars isn’t even in my top 10!).
  2. What’s your favourite type of project to work on? I don’t get involved with the film production side but I do enjoy providing ideas for videos.
  3. What’s the Future of video marketing? I think we will see the quality of video content improve and the creative use of video improve.  I’m excited about the launch of Ark’s personalised videos which will mean a business can tailor a video for a particular person.
  4. One interesting fact we should know about you. I really can not sing
  5. Which of the Ark values best aligns with you? Resourceful – I believe there is more than one way to skin a cat

  1. Favourite Film? always changes.. I don’t watch films much surprisingly.. but I like comedies and re-watched this one recently with all my mates, so probably ‘inbetweeners 1’ at the mo
  2. What’s your favourite type of project to work on? Projects that contain the need to use After Effects, so animations, and VFX work.
  3. What’s the future for video marketing?  With TV undoubtedly getting less and less popular and viewers, I think video marketing is only going to be something that is pushed more and more into all companies, and will make more and more people get in to making video content.
  4. One interesting fact we should know about you. I am a bass DJ and have played in the biggest rave venues in Birmingham.
  5. Which of the Ark values best aligns with you? Innovative – I have had a youtube channel ever since a child, I’ve always taught myself to do things and always look for new accessible ways to forward my work.

  1. Favourite Film? Oh it tends to change every week, one of my favourites is ‘it’s such a beautiful day’ by Don Hertzfeldt
  2. What’s your favourite type of project to work on? Documentaries are fun, I enjoy filming and editing those
  3. What’s the future for video marketing? I think more and more businesses are going to start to invest more money into it. I think videos are becoming a lot more valued now.
  4. One interesting fact we should know about you. I absolutely love hand drawn animation and attempt creating my own in my spare time.
  5. Which of the Ark values best aligns with you? Probably storytelling – as an editor, I love piecing together all the footage to create a great story.

  1. Favourite Film? I love superhero movies and comedy films, so Marvel films in general make up a lot of my favourites. Especially the Guardians of the Galaxy and Deadpool films.
  2. What’s your favourite type of project to work on? I love sports, so projects with a sporty theme and lots of action are always fun for me.
  3.  What’s the future for video marketing?  I think VR still has a lot of room to grow, and if watching VR videos and content becomes more popular and mainstream then video marketing will definitely follow.
  4. One interesting fact we should know about you. As a student, I filmed and edited the highlights for Queen’s Park Rangers Ladies football matches.
  5. Which of the Ark values best aligns with you? I’d go for creative. From thinking up ideas to creating scripts and storyboards, I get to be creative in a lot of ways during pre-production.

  1. Favourite Film?  Definitely Drop Dead Fred or Mrs Doubtfire.
  2. What’s your favourite type of project to work on? I like to help the guys out when I can, although my role doesn’t get involved much with the production side of things, I think because of this, I enjoy working on a variety of things as nothing is ever the same for me.
  3. What’s the Future of video marketing? I’m excited to learn a lot more about the future of video marketing myself. But from what I’ve learnt so far I think it is on the rise and there are a lot of businesses that are unsure of the benefits.
  4. One interesting fact we should know about you. I got kicked out of swimming lessons as a child because I was that bad at swimming.
  5. Which of the Ark values best aligns with you? I think impactful as I like to get things done now. My Mum would call me impatient but I prefer impactful.

Dan Wharton

Junior Content Producer

  1. Favourite Film?  Mrs Doubtfire.
  2. What’s your favourite type of project to work on? I enjoy the video shoots that are a little more spontaneous and creative, where you have some more freedom as a camera operator. Promo shoots with a bit of action and excitement are always good fun to put together.
  3. What’s the Future of video marketing? The quality of video output is improving all the time, with 8K monitors now available. Also, with viewer engagement so difficult to hold on to, I think we’ll see a lot more interactive, personalised content.
  4. One interesting fact about you. I once did interviews on the red carpet at the Country Music Awards in Nashville.
  5. Which of the Ark values best aligns with you? I would say ‘Innovative’ – I’ve self-taught most of my technical skills, and have tried to push the boat out and do things a little differently in my career. I’m also a big gadget geek, so I’m always up for trying new tech!
