UK Sepsis Trust

We were privileged to produce a series of films for the charity, the UK Sepsis Trust (UKST), to raise awareness and encourage people to become Sepsis Savvy and save lives as part of the national ‘Sepsis Savvy’ campaign.   The campaign encourages businesses to raise awareness among their staff of the deadly condition which last year claimed at least 48,000 lives in the UK – more than breast, bowel and prostate cancers combined. Businesses that have already signed up to the campaign include Iceland Foods, Direct Line, Laing O’Rourke, the University of Birmingham, and Bolton Wanderers F.C.  Your business can sign up here

The main film can be viewed here:

“There’s a huge lack of awareness about sepsis, which is likely to be worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic. To save lives demands both an aware public and switched-on health professional – symptoms can vary hugely so communication is key. We’re hoping that these resources will help to increase the public’s knowledge about this devastating condition in an engaging way.”

Dr. Ron Daniels, CEO and founder of the UK Sepsis Trust.

The six symptoms of sepsis in adults are:

  • Slurred speech or confusion
  • Extreme shivering or muscle pain
  • Passing no urine in 24 hours
  • Severe breathlessness
  • ‘I feel like I might die’
  • Skin that’s mottled, very pale, or slightly blue

Birmingham Metropolitan College

Birmingham Metropolitan College, better known as BMet, is a further and higher education college with three main campuses within Birmingham

Our Brief

To produce a film that promotes re-training and why it is a good idea, showcasing the array of different courses available.  The video was distributed across social channels to raise the profile of the courses available for re-training and to encourage adult student enrolment throughout January.

One main video was produced for distribution across social channels to encourage January enrolment. The main video included the participation of current BMet students talking about why they retrained and the benefits they have seen from retraining. To accompany this video we also created short animated videos to promote the wide variety of courses that are on offer across the three BMet campuses.

BMet Director of Marketing & Communications, Zoe Lee says

We have worked with Ark Media in the past so we knew that the work that they produce would be to a high standard. They worked with us to come up with the initial ideas for the video and they weren’t afraid to offer their creative input throughout the process. We will be working with Ark again in the future, as they are great to work with and always produce high quality content.”

Liniar is the fastest-growing brand of PVCu products designed for the fenestration and construction markets in the UK. Manufacturing takes place at a state-of-the-art facility in Derbyshire, where a dynamic team and a high degree of ongoing investment results in an industry leading range of PVCu windows, doors, conservatories, fencing, decking, piling and building products.

Our brief:

The marketing team at Liniar wanted to create video assets to support their ‘Colours’ campaign to demonstrate the vast array of colour options that are available to customers when selecting Liniar products.

The Result:

The brand already has a talented inhouse videographer so we were able to work with existing live action footage and add animation to showcase the range of colours that Liniar can provide.  The video was utilised on YouTube as well as being embedded into the Liniar website, across social channels and shared with other B2B clients.

Group Marketing Director Sue Davenport commented, “It was great to work with the Ark Media team – they understood exactly what we needed, and the process went very smoothly indeed.

“When it comes to large construction items such as windows and doors, it’s always a challenge to capture real footage of installed products – especially those produced in different colours to the norm. Animation was the perfect way to get across the message that the whole range can be foiled in practically any colour to suit the homeowner and their project – and we’re delighted with the results!”

North Pole Adventure Promotional Event Video

Each year we produce various different videos for National Forrest Adventure Farm, an adventure play park for children. The Farm organises events throughout the year, including ScreamFest at Halloween and the North Pole Adventure at Christmas. We have the pleasure of capturing these events and creating both shorter videos for social media, and longer promotional videos. This year we created a promotional event video for their Northpole Adventure, which, in less than a month, the video achieved over 14,000 organic views on social media. The video was also supported by a paid campaign which resulted in the event selling out in November!

We also created a slightly longer promotional event video for the same event.

Here at the video production company, Ark Media, we are proud that we have helped to achieve such high sales for the Farm. Promotional and shorter social videos can work really well for most brands and businesses. Wyzowl has stated that  ‘89% of video marketers say video gives them a good ROI, and 83% of video marketers say video helps them with lead generation.’

Here’s what Mark from Little Fish has to say about working with us ‘Just wanted to say what an excellent job you have done on the video. It’s brilliant!’

Birmingham City University – It’s Not Always Banter

We were commissioned by Birmingham City University to produce a video as part of their wider ‘Not Always Banter’ campaign.

The University wanted to convey to new students in particular, that whilst ‘banter’ can be friendly it can also be offensive in terms of gender, sexuality, religion, race and bullying,

The ‘Not Always Banter’ campaign is working to create a respectful, happy and safe environment for all students.   The University wanted the film to encourage new students to think that what seems light-hearted to one person can feel very different to someone else.

At the time of press, the video is being shared with thousands of students across various fresher events as well as across social channels.

Here’s what the client had to say and you can find out more in the client testimonial video below.

“Through the whole filming they were excellent.  I would definitely recommend Ark because they are really supportive and they came up with some really good ideas that we hadn’t thought of”   Emma Neale, Senior Lecturer, Birmingham City University.
